Dr. Perdikis recently was selected to be the new chairman of plastic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and took over the role in August of 2017. Prior to this, he practiced at Mayo Clinic where he served as Chairman of Plastic Surgery and Medical Director for Education for Mayo’s College of Medicine in Florida. He has been president of the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons, served on the board as a trustee for the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons and is currently Chairman of the practice management committee for the national American Society of Plastic Surgery. He has close to 200 national and international presentations, peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He has served on national task forces writing guideline and evidence based documents for our national societies.
Dr. Perdikis has focused his practice to 2 areas: aesthetic surgery and breast reconstruction. This focus together with experience practicing for 16 years has allowed him to develop a calling and interest in cosmetic surgery safety and in helping those patients needing revisional plastic surgery. He has a wide experience in facial aesthetics, breast and body aesthetic surgery and has been privileged to have presented and served on panels regarding aesthetic surgery at national meetings and regionally.
Dr. Perdikis has been married for 23 years to a wonderful lady and has two awesome sons. He is passionate about his family, his patients, and positioning Vanderbilt as one of the premier plastic and aesthetic surgery centers in the country.
